Dr. Matthew Mills is a licensed, private-practice psychiatrist located in the Near North Neighborhood of Chicago. Dr. Mills is Board Certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He also serves as staff psychiatrist for Cermak Mental Health
Services in Chicago.
A 2006 graduate of the Psychiatry Residency and Training Program at the
University of Illinois Medical Center, Dr. Mills is also a 2006 graduate of
Chicago's Institute for Psychoanalysis Fellowship Program.
Having completed his undergraduate training at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, where Dr. Mills majored in Genetics and graduated with
highest distinction, he went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from
the Medical College of Wisconsin. There, he received high honors in Clinical
Psychiatry, Neuroanatomy, Biochemistry and Emergency Medicine.
In the senior
year of his psychiatry residency, Dr. Mills scored in the top 2% of the
nation's general psychiatry residents on the Psychiatry Resident-In-Training
Examination (PRITE®). The PRITE exam is a 5-hour written examination designed
to assess residents' global knowledge base in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Mills was also selected as one of the nation's leading psychiatrists in the
Guide to America's Top Psychiatrists, released in May of 2007.
